Qualifications:
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiation Therapy
- Valid license to practice as a Radiation Therapist (as required by state regulations)
- Graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- Proven experience delivering external beam radiation therapy treatments
- Familiarity with oncology protocols and safety guidelines
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately implement physician-ordered radiation therapy treatment plans
- Operate linear accelerators and related equipment with precision and adherence to established safety standards
- Educate patients and their families on the treatment process, providing support and answering questions as needed
- Monitor patient responses and report any concerns or side effects to the care team
- Maintain thorough, accurate treatment records and documentation
- Collaborate with dosimetrists, physicists, oncologists, and nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
- Adhere to all departmental protocols, safety regulations, and infection control policies
