Job Description

A full-time Radiation Therapist position is available at a prominent oncology center in Rochester, NY. This contract role offers a 40-hour workweek with a Monday through Friday schedule, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. The successful candidate will primarily work at a main hospital location with opportunities to float to other radiation oncology sites as needed.

Ideal candidates will hold a valid New York State Radiologic Technologists Therapy License and demonstrate experience operating Ethos or Varian radiation therapy machines. The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment is essential. Strong communication skills, adaptability, reliability, and punctuality are highly valued traits for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver precise radiation therapy treatments to cancer patients following prescribed protocols.
  • Operate and maintain Ethos or Varian radiation equipment.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiation oncology team members and other healthcare professionals.
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Document treatment details accurately and maintain patient records.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active NYS Radiologic Technologists Therapy License required.
  • Prior experience with Ethos or Varian machines preferred.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
