Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation therapy as prescribed, adhering to established treatment plans and physician instructions.
• Accurately input and manage treatment data, calibrate equipment, and regulate dosages for optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, physicists, and other care team members to develop individualized treatment strategies, including preparing technical aspects and supporting treatment planning.
• Construct and fit patient immobilization devices as needed for therapy precision.
• Maintain meticulous patient records, reports, and departmental files, documenting dosages, equipment settings, and patient responses.
• Perform advanced treatments, such as total body irradiation and stereotactic radiosurgery, following best practices and standards of safety.
• Ensure the safety of patients, colleagues, and yourself through rigorous quality assurance and safety protocols.
• Provide clinical instruction and mentorship for student radiation therapists onsite.
