An experienced Radiation Therapist role is available to support an established Oncology team. This position offers a full-time, Monday-Friday schedule from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, providing stability and consistency in your workweek. Based in Janesville, WI, this contract opportunity allows you to contribute your expertise in radiation therapy within a professional healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform core Radiation Therapist functions including patient scheduling, simulation, set-up, and treatment delivery.
  • Operate and maintain department radiation therapy equipment with thorough technical knowledge.
  • Deliver external beam radiation treatments accurately and efficiently, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Assess and respond to patient needs during treatment sessions.
  • Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols and standards.
  • Complete patient documentation and charts promptly and accurately.
  • Apply advanced treatment calculations and contribute to treatment plan design.
  • Fabricate treatment blocks and perform simulations independently with precision.
  • Utilize proper patient identification, scripting, and safety barriers as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program.
  • Active ARRT certification in radiation therapy.
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in radiation therapy clinical procedures and safety standards.
