Schedule:
- 5 days per week
- 8-hour shifts: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Your professional journey will include:
- Delivering radiation therapy treatments and simulation sessions independently, following the precise directions of radiation oncologists.
- Managing a patient load of 15-20 per machine, with 2-3 simulations each day.
- Utilizing advanced equipment such as TRUEBEAM/VARIAN, ARIA, VISION RT, and EPIC (experience highly valued).
- Adhering to strict safety protocols to safeguard both patients and colleagues.
- Assessing patients and collaborating with families or care teams to address special needs.
- Maintaining meticulously accurate schedules, documentation, and records.
- Completing weekly chart checks and rotating responsibilities with team partners.
- Supporting treatment planning, tumor localization, and dosimetry under minimal supervision.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Graduation from an AMA-approved School of Radiation Therapy Technology.
- ARRT (T) certification and a current Medical Radiologic Technologist certificate (Texas).
- Current BLS certification (AHA).
- Effective communication skills and basic computer literacy.
- At least one year of experience in a hospital or cancer treatment setting preferred; new graduates from qualifying programs considered.
