Job Description

A skilled Radiation Therapist opportunity is available in the Hendersonville, TN area, supporting advanced proton therapy treatments. This contract role offers a dynamic, flex shift schedule Monday through Friday, with shift start times varying daily based on patient treatment flow, typically concluding between 4:00 and 6:00 PM. The assignment length is approximately 6 to 8 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer radiation therapy treatments with precision and according to prescribed protocols using proton therapy technology
  • Collaborate with oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care
  • Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment ensuring safety and accuracy
  • Monitor patient responses and document treatment progress accurately
  • Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards governing radiation therapy practice

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Registered or registry-eligible Radiation Therapist licensure from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Completion of registry exam must occur within 6 months of hire
  • Certification by the American Association of Radiologic Technologists (AART)
  • BLS certification for healthcare providers
  • 3 to 5 years of clinical experience in radiation therapy
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible shift schedule that changes based on patient load
