Key Qualifications:

• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required
• Valid and current state license to practice as a Radiation Therapist
• Prior experience operating linear accelerators and related therapy equipment
• Deep understanding of radiation safety, protection measures, and dosimetry
• Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise treatment protocols
• CPR/BLS certification preferred

Schedule:

• Contract assignment
• Days and hours dependent on departmental needs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver external beam radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by the radiation oncologist
• Accurately position patients and operate therapy equipment to ensure safe, effective treatment delivery
• Monitor and document each session, reporting deviations or side effects promptly
• Educate patients and families on procedures, potential side effects, and safety precautions
• Collaborate closely with physicians, physicists, and other healthcare staff to coordinate individualized patient care
• Maintain and verify calibration of therapy equipment, adhering to quality assurance standards
• Uphold strict adherence to infection control and confidentiality policies
