Job Description

A healthcare facility in Gastonia, NC, is seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist for a contract position. This outpatient cancer clinic specializes in treating ambulatory cancer patients with radiation therapy, managing 60 to 100 patients daily. The department operates three state-of-the-art Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerators and employs approximately 12 therapists per shift, supported by strong leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiation Therapist.
  • Required certifications include BLS and ARRT-T (Radiotherapy Technologist).
  • Proficient in operating Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerators.
  • Experience with diverse cancer diagnoses.
  • Ability to adapt to EMR systems, specifically EPIC/Aria.
  • Willingness to float to other radiation therapy sites in the greater Charlotte area (with managerial approval).
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outpatient radiation therapy treatments using Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerators.
  • Collaborate effectively with a diverse and collegial team.
  • Maintain accurate records using EPIC/Aria EMR systems.
  • Adapt to various patient treatment needs in a fast-paced outpatient clinic.
  • Participate in orientation and ongoing departmental training.
