Job Description

A specialized opportunity is available for a Radiation Therapist skilled in radiation therapy to provide exceptional care in an outpatient cancer clinic setting. This contract role is based in Concord, NC, and involves delivering radiation therapy treatments to ambulatory cancer patients using advanced technology.

Responsibilities include operating Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerators to administer precise radiation doses, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care, and maintaining accurate patient records within the EMR system (EPIC/Aria). The department treats 60 to 100 patients daily across three machines, supported by an experienced team of approximately 12 therapists per shift. Flexibility to float to other radiation therapy sites within the greater Charlotte area may be requested, subject to manager approval.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist
  • Proficiency with Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerators
  • Current BLS certification and ARRT-T certification as a Radiotherapy Technologist
  • Comfort using EMR systems, specifically EPIC/Aria
  • Ability to manage outpatient ambulatory cancer patients
  • Willingness to float to other Radiation Therapy locations if needed
  • Open to first-time travelers for contract work
