Key Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation therapy following physician's instructions and treatment plans.
• Accurately input data and set controls to operate and adjust radiation equipment, regulating dosage as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians, radiation oncologists, clinical physicists, and other staff to develop and implement technical aspects of patient treatment plans based on patient condition and anatomy.
• Construct patient immobilization devices as ordered.
• Maintain comprehensive patient records, including treatment dosages, equipment settings, and patient reactions, adhering to all departmental protocols.
• Perform routine and specialized radiation therapy treatments, including total body irradiation, stereotactic radiosurgery, and brachytherapy, in accordance with established policies.
• Prepare rooms and equipment for each patient session.
• Follow safety protocols and utilize proper protective equipment for the safety of patients and staff.
• Conduct quality assurance procedures in line with state and federal guidelines.
• Provide clinical instruction and evaluate student radiation therapists during on-the-job training.

Qualifications:

• Current ARRT certification required.
• Demonstrated skills in Radiation Therapy.
• Experience with complex radiation treatment techniques preferred.
