Seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapist for a contract assignment supporting a well-established healthcare team. This critical role involves delivering exceptional patient care using advanced radiation therapy technology in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
Schedule:
- Day shift: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 8:00 am 4:30 pm (5x8-hour shifts)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Radiation Therapist
- Valid certification from the American Board of Radiology
- Advanced education: MS or PhD from a CAMPEP approved program in Radiation Therapy Physics
- Expertise in operating Varian Truebeam (including service mode), Aria, and Eclipse systems
- Solid experience with Radformation and Sun Nuclear products
- Strong background and hands-on experience with Portal Dosimetry
Essential Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation treatments according to physician instructions and established safety protocols
- Operate and maintain advanced Varian equipment and related software for precise patient care
- Collaborate with physicists, dosimetrists, and oncologists to develop and deliver optimized treatment plans
- Conduct regular quality assurance procedures and equipment calibrations
- Accurately document patient treatments and progress in the electronic medical record system
- Provide expert guidance and respond to questions from patients and families regarding the radiation therapy process
- Stay current on technological advances and regulatory requirements in radiation oncology
