A healthcare organization in Buford, WY is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist for a contract position. The primary responsibility involves administering prescribed ionizing radiation therapy to patients, ensuring both the accuracy of treatment and compassionate patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver radiation therapy treatments as prescribed, calculating dosage, intensity, and exposure time.
- Monitor patients physiological and psychological responses to therapy, providing quality care throughout treatment.
- Educate patients and the community on radiation therapy principles and procedures.
- Assist with billing and coding related to radiation therapy services.
- Perform other duties as assigned in alignment with department needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Associates degree in Radiation Therapy or Radiation Technology required.
- Previous experience as a Radiation Therapist is essential.
- Current, valid Wyoming Radiation Technologist license in good standing.
- Active ARRT certification and good standing maintenance.
- BLS certification required or must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, oncology pathology, radiation biology, and treatment planning.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate ethical accountability.
- Competency in computer software relevant to clinical and administrative duties.
