Part-time Special Education Teacher URGENTLY NEEDED – Chicago, IL
A school district in Chicago, IL area is seeking a Special Education Teacher to fill an open position. Work with a school district that supports its teachers and students. This district needs someone who can hop in and lead their students with quality aids and services. This position would start as soon as possible and go until the end of the current, 23/24 school year.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education or related fields
Must have an active IL Special Education Teachers License (LBS1).
Previous Special Education Teaching experience preferred but not required.
Pass a Drug screening and background check (fingerprints).
Must have 2-3 positive Supervisor references.

Job Specifics:

Part-time, 17.5 hours a week – 12:00pm – 3:30pm M-F.
Caseload: Work 1:1 with a 7^th grade student.
Mild disabilities - Student has a specific learning disability with no cognitive impairment.
Student is a ward of the state (DCFS) and gives him outside support. School provides Social Work, Speech and OT.
Further caseload details will be discussed in the interview and placement will be based off experience and preference.
After successful completion of assignment, huge potential for a contract renewal to return the following school year!
