Job Title: Elementary Paraprofessional - Highwood, IL

Location: Highwood, IL

Responsibilities:

Work closely with classroom teachers to provide individual and small-group support to students
Assist in implementing instructional activities, including reading, math, and other subjects
Help students with assignments, ensuring they stay on task and complete tasks to the best of their ability
Collaborate with the teacher to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Provide support to students with special needs as directed by the teacher or special education team
Supervise students during recess, lunch, and other activities
Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and fellow staff members
Contribute to the overall success of the school community

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred
Paraprofessional License REQUIRED.
IL PEL REQUIRED
Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in an educational setting
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a positive learning atmosphere
