Job Description
A skilled Sterile Processing Technician is needed for a contract opportunity supporting both inpatient and outpatient perioperative services. This key role involves ensuring the cleanliness, sterilization, and proper preparation of surgical instruments and equipment essential to patient safety.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 am 5:00 pm
- No overtime; schedule may adjust according to departmental demands
- Call rotation required: 6 days per month, including 1 weekend shift
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Proven experience in sterile processing, preferably with diverse case loads
- Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient operating rooms as well as endoscopy procedures
- Ability to follow strict protocols for sterilization and documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays
- Maintain inventory and ensure timely distribution of all sterile supplies to 4 inpatient ORs, 5 outpatient ORs, and 2 outpatient endoscopy suites
- Support operating teams by ensuring instruments and equipment are functional, sterile, and available when needed
- Adhere to established infection control practices and safety guidelines
- Collaborate with perioperative staff, responding promptly to urgent needs and communicating effectively about equipment usage

$1,367 - $1,442/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
