Take your sterile processing expertise to the next level by supporting a busy outpatient surgery center specializing in orthopedic procedures. This opportunity involves working in a high-volume environment where your attention to detail and commitment to safe instrument handling will contribute directly to positive surgical outcomes.
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Friday, with no weekend or holiday shifts required
- Start times between 6:00am and 10:00am, followed by an 8-hour shift
Key Qualifications:
- Experience as a Sterile Processing Technician within a surgical setting
- Certification in Sterile Processing is preferred, though not mandatory
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required
- Proficiency in processing and assembling a wide variety of orthopedic trays and case carts
- Strong understanding of infection control and safety standards
- Collaborative, adaptable, and efficient under pressure
Primary Responsibilities:
- Clean, decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays to support a full range of orthopedic surgeries
- Accurately document sterilization cycles, inventory, and tray assembly
- Serve as a key liaison for operating room teams to ensure needed supplies and instrumentation are readily available
- Routinely inspect instruments for quality, integrity, and function prior to sterilization
- Maintain compliance with all established policies and regulatory standards
- Contribute to a safe, well-organized, and efficient sterile processing department
