Support a well-regarded outpatient surgery center in Pensacola, FL, specializing in orthopedic cases, as a Sterile Processing Technician. This contract role offers the opportunity to work in a focused surgical environment, handling the sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments crucial to patient care.

Responsibilities include:

• Processing and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols
• Ensuring all trays and instruments meet strict quality and safety standards
• Collaborating with surgical staff to provide timely and efficient instrument turnover
• Maintaining accurate records of sterilization and equipment usage
• Complying with all infection control policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Experience as a Sterile Processing Technician; certification is preferred but not mandatory
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Familiarity with orthopedic surgical trays and equipment is advantageous

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday shifts, no weekends or holidays
• Shift start times vary between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM with an 8-hour workday
