Job Description

Begin a meaningful role supporting critical surgical and clinical care by ensuring the highest standards of sterile processing. An experienced, certified Sterile Processing Technician is needed to aid both inpatient and outpatient operating environments.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
  • No overtime; schedule may change according to unit needs
  • On-call requirement: 6 days per month, including 1 weekend per month

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (Certified SPT)
  • BLS certification required
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare sterile processing department
  • Ability to maintain compliance with infection control protocols and best practices in sterile technique
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform decontamination, cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments for 4 inpatient operating rooms, 5 outpatient operating rooms, and 2 outpatient endoscopy procedure rooms
  • Ensure thorough documentation of sterilization processes and uphold regulatory standards
  • Respond promptly to surgical team requests for instrument trays or supplies, especially during on-call shifts
  • Conduct routine inventory management and equipment checks to support continuous OR operations
  • Collaborate with various clinical teams to prioritize workflow and support patient safety

$1,367 - $1,442/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
