Job Description

Sterile Processing Technicians skilled in supporting outpatient orthopedic surgery are encouraged to explore this rewarding contract opportunity. Work in a dynamic surgery center specializing in orthopedic procedures, where maintaining the highest standards of sterile technique is essential.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday through Friday (no weekends, no holidays)
  • Start times may vary between 6:00 am and 10:00 am
  • 8-hour shifts

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Sterile Processing Technician, preferably in an outpatient or orthopedic surgery environment
  • Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician is advantageous, but not required
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is mandatory
  • Strong knowledge of sterilization processes, decontamination, and assembly of surgical trays
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays used in orthopedic procedures
  • Accurately assemble, package, and distribute instruments for procedures according to established protocols
  • Maintain and track inventory of instruments and supplies
  • Perform quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborate effectively with surgical and nursing staff to facilitate smooth daily operations
