Contribute your expertise as a Sterile Processing Technician in a challenging and rewarding contract role within a dynamic surgical environment. Work closely with clinical teams to ensure the safe and effective processing of instruments in support of inpatient and outpatient procedures.

Schedule/Hours:

• MondayFriday, 7:00am5:30pm; no overtime, hours subject to change per unit demands
• On-call responsibilities: 6 days per month, including 1 weekend per month

Qualifications:

• Active certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (Certified SPT)
• Demonstrated experience supporting surgical teams in fast-paced hospital or clinical settings
• Proficient in infection control practices, decontamination protocols, and instrument sterilization processes
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary staff

Role Responsibilities:

• Clean, decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments for 4 inpatient operating rooms, 5 outpatient operating rooms, and 2 endoscopy suites
• Ensure instrumentation meets quality assurance and regulatory standards before distribution
• Maintain accurate records of processed trays, biological tests, and equipment maintenance
• Respond to emergency or urgent needs from surgical suites (including during on-call hours)
• Collaborate with operating room staff to anticipate supply needs and resolve issues efficiently
• Monitor and maintain inventory of sterile supplies

$1,331 - $1,408/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
