Seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician with current certification to support both inpatient and outpatient surgical operations. This contract position plays a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and patient safety for a busy surgical team.

Schedule and Work Hours:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• On-call required 6 days per month and 1 weekend per month
• No regular overtime; schedules may adjust based on department needs

Key Qualifications:

• Certified Sterile Processing Technician (current certification required)
• Experience with sterile processing in a hospital or surgery center preferred
• Understanding of infection control, sterilization techniques, and instrumentation
• Ability to manage fast-paced, detail-oriented tasks independently or within a team
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Your Responsibilities:

• Decontaminate, clean, assemble, wrap, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and devices for 4 inpatient and 5 outpatient operating rooms, as well as 2 outpatient endoscopy rooms
• Operate and maintain autoclaves and other sterilization equipment, ensuring adherence to protocols
• Monitor and document biological indicators and load records for quality assurance
• Collaborate with surgical teams to meet case supply needs and respond promptly to emergent requests
• Support inventory management, receiving, and restocking of sterile supply areas
• Uphold facility policies and exceed regulatory standards for patient safety and infection prevention

$1,331 - $1,408/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
