Job Description

Step into a vital role supporting an outpatient surgery center specializing in orthopedic procedures. This opportunity focuses on sterile processing excellence, ensuring surgical instruments and trays meet the highest safety and quality standards for all orthopedic cases.

Schedule:

  • Shift start times vary between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM
  • 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
  • No weekend or holiday shifts required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Sterile Processing Technician, ideally in a surgical or orthopedic setting
  • Certification in Sterile Processing (preferred, but not required)
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (required)
  • Familiarity with orthopedic instrumentation and tray assembly
  • Attention to detail and commitment to infection control protocols
  • Strong ability to work independently and within a fast-paced team environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical trays and equipment for various orthopedic cases
  • Adhere to established guidelines for documentation, quality control, and infection prevention
  • Communicate regularly with surgical and nursing teams to anticipate tray needs and troubleshoot concerns
  • Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and inventory
  • Uphold safety standards, contributing to optimal patient outcomes
