Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, responding swiftly to changes in patients cardiac status.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and patient protocols.
  • Conduct head-to-toe assessments, document patient status, and communicate effectively with the care team.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and cardiac care best practices.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Document all care and observations clearly and accurately in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications:

  • Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a telemetry or progressive care unit.
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Strong skills in identifying and responding to arrhythmias and cardiac changes.
  • Excellent critical thinking abilities and a compassionate, patient-focused approach.
  • Proficient communication and organizational skills.
