Key Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Telemetry experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Strong assessment, documentation, and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring systems
- Ability to respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients on telemetry units, promptly recognizing and responding to abnormal cardiac rhythms
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and protocols
- Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to develop and revise individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions, procedures, and home care requirements
- Document all interventions and patient observations accurately in the electronic health record
- Maintain adherence to infection control and patient safety standards
