Job Description

Take on an impactful nursing position working with a dynamic telemetry unit. This contract role calls for an experienced Registered Nurse skilled in telemetry, ready to provide high-quality patient care and collaborate well with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.

Schedule:

  • Every other weekend (EOW)
  • Every other holiday (EOH)

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of one year recent experience in a telemetry unit
  • Proficient in rhythm interpretation, cardiac monitoring, and related nursing interventions
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
  • EMR documentation skills preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess patients cardiac rhythms, promptly responding to changes in condition
  • Deliver tailored nursing interventions based on telemetry findings and physician orders
  • Administer medications and treatments with accuracy, ensuring patient safety at all times
  • Educate patients and families on procedures, care plans, and ongoing management
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record
  • Effectively coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery
  • Maintain compliance with facility and regulatory protocols, upholding standards for patient care and safety
