An opportunity is available for Registered Nurses experienced in Telemetry and Medical-Surgical care to provide patient-centered nursing in a 37-bed telemetry complex care unit. This 16-week contract role is ideal for professionals who excel in dynamic environments and deliver high-quality care.
Schedule
- Night shifts: 12 hours (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
- Choose between 36 or 48 hours per week
- 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend
- At least 1 holiday shift required during the contract
Key Qualifications
- Active NY Registered Nurse license
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in acute Med/Surg or Telemetry
- For non-U.S. candidates: At least 2 years of U.S. work experience
- Preferred: 2 years of recent acute Med/Surg or Telemetry experience
- Familiarity with EPIC charting
- Willingness to float to other units as needed
- Must be willing to work in a charge nurse capacity; training will be provided if necessary
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Ability to accommodate facility scheduling needs; block booking on request but not guaranteed
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to telemetry and complex care patients
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status using EPIC
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide leadership in a charge nurse role when assigned
- Adapt to different unit environments and patient populations as required by float policy
