This opportunity means exposure to a wide range of patient diagnoses including acute and chronic medical conditions, cardiac events, and complex post-surgical care. Working on high-acuity Med/Surg Telemetry units (20-36 beds each), youll gain experience with advanced drips, telemetry monitoring, and specialized proceduresenhancing both your clinical skills and versatility. Floating between units exposes you to a myriad of leadership styles and best practices, broadening your professional perspective. During your downtime, explore the best of Central Georgias natural parks, museums, and renowned eateries.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts: 7A-7P or 7P-7A
- Weekend rotation: 5-6 shifts per 6-week cycle
- Holiday rotation required (one shift for each major holiday)
- No on-call required
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Tele experience
- BLS required, ACLS preferred (must pass EKG test during onboarding)
- Telemetry and strong assessment skills, post-cath care, and proficiency with cardiac drips
- Confident with trach, chest tube management, PIV/IV tasks, glucommander, and complex care coordination
- EPIC EMR experience a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, compassionate care to a med/surg telemetry patient population
- Monitor, assess, and interpret cardiac rhythms
- Administer and titrate advanced drips
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning and education
- Float to other Med/Tele units as needed
