A registered nurse with expertise in medical-surgical and respiratory care is sought for a rewarding contract opportunity in Tularosa, NM. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care in line with ANA standards including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned medical-surgical and respiratory patients.
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocols, monitoring effectiveness and adverse reactions.
- Document patient histories, symptoms, medication administration, and provided care accurately.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Conduct patient and caregiver education to support health management and recovery.
- Participate in float assignments as needed across medical/surgical, behavioral health, joint care, and emergency departments.
- Fulfill weekend and call shift requirements to ensure continuous patient care coverage.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum one year of nursing experience in a related specialty preferred.
- Current RN license in New Mexico or a compact nursing license.
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required.
- Completion of organizational competency validations and successful completion of preceptorship programs for new hires.
Work Schedule:
- Days: 7 AM 7 PM
- Weekend and call shifts required as outlined.
