Key Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted RN license
- Minimum one year of experience working in a telemetry unit
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring equipment and related protocols
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to supervise, train, and direct nursing staff at various levels
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- BLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain before start)
Schedule:
- Contract position; exact hours and shifts to be provided based on facility needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized nursing care in a telemetry setting, consistently applying the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
- Supervise and coordinate care delivered by LVNs, CNAs, and other assigned staff members
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop, implement, and adjust patient care plans
- Monitor patient cardiac rhythms, recognizing and responding to changes in condition
- Uphold professional nursing standards while exercising sound judgment and critical thinking
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
- Support patient and family education for optimal outcomes and satisfaction
