Take on a key role delivering coordinated care to patients in a dynamic telemetry environment. Your expertise in cardiac monitoring and clinical assessment will be essential as you care for individuals with complex health needs. This contract position requires a Registered Nurse with strong leadership abilities to supervise nursing staff, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and guide patient care from admission through discharge using sound professional judgment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in good standing
- Experience with telemetry/cardiac monitoring systems
- Minimum one year of recent acute care nursing experience
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to supervise and direct nursing staff within a fast-paced unit
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position; specific shift hours will be discussed during the interview process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to telemetry patients
- Oversee and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed nursing team members
- Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms
- Use the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) for assigned patients
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Provide health education and emotional support to patients and families
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures
