Job Description
Provide specialized nursing care on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit, supporting post-surgical and orthopedic patients in a dynamic hospital environment. This role requires adaptability and clinical expertise to deliver quality care within a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
Location: Sanford, FL

Schedule/Hours:
- Night shift: 1845-0715
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend shifts: 6 shifts in a 6-week rotation (Friday and Saturday nights)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care to medical-surgical telemetry patients, including post-surgical and orthopedic cases
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to patient needs efficiently and accurately
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Float to other inpatient units as needed while remaining within your scope of practice
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to hospital protocols and standards
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Florida or Compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing
- Current ACLS and BLS certification
- Experience caring for post-surgical and orthopedic patients preferred
- Comfortable managing a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records system
