Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, active RN license
- Previous experience working in a Telemetry or step-down unit
- Well-versed in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
- Ability to respond to emergent cardiac events confidently
- Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Adaptability to varying patient acuity levels and fast-paced environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care and ongoing monitoring for adults with cardiac and complex medical diagnoses
- Interpret and respond to telemetry strips, communicating timely changes to the healthcare team
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and ancillary staff to develop and carry out individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on procedures, interventions, and health management
- Safeguard patient safety, uphold infection control standards, and ensure high-quality outcomes
- Accurately complete required documentation and hand-off reports at shift changes
