Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, active RN license
• Previous experience working in a Telemetry or step-down unit
• Well-versed in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Ability to respond to emergent cardiac events confidently
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Adaptability to varying patient acuity levels and fast-paced environments

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care and ongoing monitoring for adults with cardiac and complex medical diagnoses
• Interpret and respond to telemetry strips, communicating timely changes to the healthcare team
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and ancillary staff to develop and carry out individualized care plans
• Educate patients and their families on procedures, interventions, and health management
• Safeguard patient safety, uphold infection control standards, and ensure high-quality outcomes
• Accurately complete required documentation and hand-off reports at shift changes
