A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced RN with a background in telemetry and medical-surgical nursing. This contract assignment is perfect for a nurse committed to providing excellent care in a complex care unit with a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
Schedule/Hours
- Night shifts: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM (12 hours)
- 36 and 48 hours per week options
- At least one weekend shift each week or two every other weekend
- Must be willing to work a minimum of one holiday during the contract term
Qualifications
- Active NY RN license
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year of recent acute med-surg/telemetry experience required
- For non-U.S. candidates, at least 2 years of U.S. work experience
- Preference given to those with 2+ years of recent acute med-surg/telemetry experience
- Ability and willingness to float to other units as needed
- Comfortable working as charge nurse (training provided if needed)
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care within a 37-bed med/tele complex care unit
- Manage and monitor patients on telemetry, ensuring safety and quality
- Utilize EPIC for effective documentation and charting
- Provide support and guidance as charge nurse when required
- Exhibit flexibility to adapt to unit and facility scheduling needs
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols and hospital standards
- Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
