A skilled Registered Nurse with a cardiac specialty is needed to provide advanced patient care during the night shift in a hospital setting focused on cardiac and medical-surgical patients. This full-time contract opportunity is based in Pollock, LA, offering a chance to apply clinical expertise in managing complex cardiac drips and patient care for conditions such as myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and peripheral vascular disease.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care independently using assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation processes in line with ANA Standards of Practice.
• Manage complex cardiac medication drips, monitoring effects and side effects while collaborating with healthcare teams.
• Document patient histories, symptoms, treatments, and education thoroughly and accurately.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers, addressing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
• Make clinical assignments and delegate appropriately to support team efficiency and patient outcomes.
• Meet organizational competencies including leadership and patient care standards.
• Float to other units as required, maintaining flexibility in work assignments.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current RN licensure in Louisiana or compact state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a related nursing specialty.
• Completion of orientation and competency validation within the first 30 days of hire.
• Willingness to work every other weekend overnight shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
