Experienced nurses with strong clinical skills are sought to deliver exceptional care to a diverse patient population including MI, CHF, arrhythmias, PVD, and occasional med-surg overflow. This full-time, contract opportunity offers night shifts from 7PM to 7AM, with an immediate start and potential for temp-to-perm conversion.

Schedule:

• Night shifts: 7PM 7AM
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirement
• Flexibility to float to other units as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license (state of employment or compact)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Minimum of one years experience in a relevant specialty preferred
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting
• Willingness to float between units as needed
• Strong assessment, delegation, and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients using the nursing process
• Deliver routine and advanced nursing care to cardiac and med-surg patients
• Monitor, manage, and document cardiac drips (excluding nitrates)
• Respond to changes in patient conditions and intervene appropriately
• Provide education to patients and families, adapting to complex psychosocial and cultural needs
• Complete all nursing documentation timely and accurately
• Participate in new hire orientation and ongoing competency validation
• Support safe nurse-to-patient ratios (typically 5:1, may be 6:1 as needed)
