The position is full time, with three 12-hour day shifts weekly (7AM-7PM) and every other weekend required. There is no on-call requirement, and the nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 5:16:1, depending on unit staffing.
What You'll Do:
- Deliver comprehensive care to patients with cardiac and telemetry needs (not a stepdown unit)
- Independently practice all aspects of the nursing process, from assessment to evaluation
- Administer treatments and medications using established protocols and monitor patient responses
- Meet psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families
- Consistently document all patient care provided and actively participate in patient/family education
- Make sound assignment decisions and delegate appropriately among care team members
- Participate in ongoing competency or orientation programs for continued development
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Current state or compact RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
- One year of related nursing specialty experience preferred
- Attend orientation and complete all competency validations
