Advance your nursing career by providing high-quality care to cardiac and telemetry patients in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This full-time contract role focuses on delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients on a specialized telemetry unit that does not function as a stepdown unit. You will play an essential part in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with the healthcare team, with potential for temp-to-perm placement.
Schedule:
- Night shifts: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirement
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in state of employment or compact
- BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA (required)
- Minimum of 12 years of nursing experience, including at least 6 months of telemetry experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Strong communication and assessment skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation following professional standards
- Provide physical, psychological, emotional, cultural, and social support
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol and monitor patient responses
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and interventions promptly and accurately
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health conditions and care plans
- Delegate tasks and provide supervision as needed to maintain effective clinical management
- Complete all onboarding and ongoing competency requirements
