This contract position offers the chance to bring specialized skills to a setting that manages complex cardiac patients, including those with myocardial infarctions, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, peripheral vascular disease, and medical-surgical overflow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to telemetry patients using a full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Manage multiple cardiac drips safely and effectively, following established protocols without the administration of nitrates.
• Provide patient and family education tailored to individual needs and cultural considerations.
• Accurately document all aspects of patient care, medication administration, and history.
• Function independently while coordinating with interdisciplinary teams and delegating appropriately to maintain optimal patient care.
• Participate in ongoing competency validations and contribute to a culture of excellence and safety.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active RN license in the state of employment or compact licensure.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of one year clinical experience in telemetry or related nursing specialty.
• Previous Epic electronic medical record experience is required.

Work Schedule & Details:

• Full-time dayshift: 7 AM to 7 PM.
• Every other weekend coverage required.
• Floating to other units as needed; no on-call duties.
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio 5:1, occasionally 6:1.
