Job Description

Expand your career as a skilled RN with experience in Telemetry by providing expert care to patients with diverse cardiac needs, including MI, CHF, arrhythmias, PVD, and med surg overflow. This full-time, contract opportunity offers immediate start dates with a possibility for temp to perm conversion, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a high-acuity hospital environment.

Schedule:

  • Night shifts: 7PM 7AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call shifts
  • Float to other units as needed

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in state of employment or compact state
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • 1 year of experience in telemetry or a related specialty preferred
  • Strong assessment, delegation, and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver routine and complex nursing care for patients with cardiac conditions and med surg overflow
  • Practice independently and make appropriate clinical assignments
  • Administer medications and manage cardiac drips (excluding nitrates); monitor effectiveness and side effects
  • Document patient histories, symptoms, medication administration, and care in charting systems
  • Conduct patient assessments, develop nursing diagnoses, and contribute to ongoing care planning and evaluation
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and provide health education to patients and families
  • Attend required orientation programs and maintain annual competencies
