Working as a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg Telemetry Float Pool promises exceptional professional growth. Youll be exposed to an array of patient cases, collaborate with diverse healthcare teams, and sharpen your skills navigating high-acuity settings. Float assignments across all med surg tele units foster adaptability, deepen clinical expertise, and expand your professional networkgiving your resume a competitive edge for future opportunities.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
- 36 hours per week
- 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend
- At least 1 holiday shift per contract
- 16-week contract duration
Qualifications:
- Active NY RN license
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in acute med surg/telemetry (2 years preferred)
- For international candidates: 2 years U.S. work experience
- Flexibility to float between all med surg tele units and adapt to facility scheduling needs
- Must reside over 50 miles from the facility
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to a variety of patients on med surg telemetry units
- Float seamlessly to units as staffing needs arise
- Accurately document care and assessments using EPIC charting
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Respond rapidly to emergent situations and adapt to changing priorities
