Job Description
A Registered Nurse with experience in Telemetry nursing is needed for a 13-week night shift contract in Pahoa, HI. This role requires flexibility with shift lengths and days, working approximately 36 hours per week after orientation. Candidates must be licensed in the state of Hawaii by the start of the assignment and provide proof of flu vaccination or an approved exemption prior to contract start.

Qualifications / Desired Experience
- Active Registered Nurse license in Hawaii required at start of contract
- 2-10 years of nursing experience, preferably in telemetry or medical units
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and shift lengths, including nights
- Ability to float to other units such as Laulima Unit and Cardiovascular Unit
- Professional nursing attire adherence
Responsibilities / Duties
- Deliver patient care on a medical telemetry unit with 77 beds
- Utilize equipment such as Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:6 (day/evening), 1:8 (night)
- Participate in orientation and unit-specific training programs
- Attend employee health appointment the Thursday before contract start
This is a contract position with no guaranteed hours or shift preference, requiring timely arrival for orientation and health clearance. A state license and flu vaccination (or approved exemption) must be in place before starting.
