Job Description
Step into a dynamic nursing role supporting patients on a 32-bed specialty surgical tele unit. This 13-week contract assignment offers the chance to deliver care for post-surgical, GI, GU, ENT, and urology patients, using the latest equipment including Alaris pumps and telemetry with an EPIC EMR system. Night shift hours are 7:00pm7:00am, with 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week. Blocked scheduling may be arranged depending on the facilitys needs, and rotational weekend shifts are required.
Schedule & Hours:
- Night shift, 7:00pm7:00am
- 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week (must be selected at submission)
- Rotational weekend shifts
- Flexible blocked scheduling may be available
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license (Missouri, or compact eligible)
- 1+ year of recent inpatient tele experience, including drug titration
- BLS certification (AHA only)
- 4 trauma credits (or completed within first two weeks)
- NIHSS (can be obtained prior to start)
- Ability to float within the facility as needed
Preferred Credentials:
- ACLS certification (AHA)
- Trauma experience in an inpatient setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver thorough nursing assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate interventions for a wide range of adult and surgical patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Monitor patients on telemetry, providing care in line with Missouri Nurse Practice Act and facility standards
- Maintain patient rights, safety, and confidentiality at all times
- Support and direct ancillary care staff, upholding high standards of professional accountability
