Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and unrestricted RN license
- Minimum one year of experience in a telemetry unit
- Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and interpreting EKGs
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Familiarity with modern telemetry equipment and electronic health records
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess cardiac telemetry patients, documenting changes promptly
- Administer medications and treatments according to care plans
- Communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary staff regarding patient status
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, care processes, and at-home instructions
- Respond swiftly and accurately to emergency changes in patient condition
- Maintain compliance with established safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
