As a Registered Nurse with a MedSurg/Tele focus, you'll have the opportunity to expand your clinical expertise across multiple units, encountering a varied patient population. Youll gain exposure to a range of conditionsgeneral medical overflow, surgical cases (including joint replacements and spinal procedures), cardiac, and stroke carewhile collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. This travel position encourages professional growth by introducing you to diverse workplace practices and innovative leadership methods. Schedule/Hours:

  • Every other weekend rotation
  • No call responsibilities
  • 75% holiday coverage expected
  • Schedule cycles every 6 weeks
  • Up to 6 approved days off (excludes holidays; add time for unmet contracted hours)
  • Orientation includes NEO and 2 departmental days

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current RN licensure
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • At least 18 months of acute Med/Tele RN experience
  • Ortho experience & spinal precautions for Ortho Units advantageous
  • Strong clinical skills: cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tube and drain management, trach care, IV/PIV starts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor patients; manage surgical/orthopedic, stroke, and cardiac cases
  • Work collaboratively with CNA, charge nurse, phlebotomy, hospitalists, and intensivists
  • Float across regional facilities as needed within scope of practice
  • Administer medications, manage cardiac drips, and oversee device care (PCA, IV, chest tubes, etc.)
  • Document care using Epic EMR
