This opportunity offers exposure to a 24-bed Medical Cardiology Unit where youll collaborate with expert teams and expand your skill set amidst diverse clinical practices. You will interpret telemetry strips, manage cardiac drips, and contribute to exemplary patient care in a fast-paced, technology-driven setting. Schedule/Hours:
- 36 hours per week
- Night shifts
- Every other weekend required
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Massachusetts RN License
- Current AHA BLS Certification
- At least 2 years of recent nursing experience with a strong cardiac background
- Proficiency in reading telemetry strips and managing cardiac drips
- Familiarity with post-cath care, PCI, ICD, PPM, ablation, TR band, and femoral approach
- Proven ability to thrive with an RN-to-patient ratio of 1:6 on nights
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret telemetry for assigned patients
- Administer and titrate cardiac drips according to physician orders
- Provide specialized care after cardiac procedures such as PCI and ablation
- Deliver patient education, emotional support, and rapid response to acute changes
- Communicate clearly within a multidisciplinary team for optimal outcomes
