Job Description

Make a meaningful difference caring for patients on a Telemetry unit with this rewarding Registered Nurse contract opportunity. Deliver specialized monitoring and acute care for individuals experiencing cardiac or other critical conditions within a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
  • Proficiency with telemetry monitoring equipment and protocols
  • Exceptional critical-thinking and organizational abilities
  • Ability to stay calm and effective in high-acuity situations

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients on telemetry for changes in cardiac and vital signs
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
  • Administer medications, manage IVs, and respond rapidly to cardiac events or changes in condition
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses with meticulous attention to detail
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding cardiac care and recovery
  • Maintain patient safety, infection control, and all regulatory compliance standards
