Job Description
Provide high-level care and clinical expertise in a dynamic telemetry nursing unit. This contract opportunity is focused on delivering compassionate, patient-centered nursing care and managing a team of skilled healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a telemetry unit, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to established standards of care.
- Monitor patients cardiac rhythms, recognize and respond to changes, and implement appropriate interventions as needed.
- Supervise and direct assigned nursing staff, offering leadership and ensuring effective collaboration.
- Communicate and coordinate care with healthcare team members, including physicians, allied health staff, and ancillary personnel.
- Foster a safe environment, demonstrate clinical judgment, and prioritize patient needs using critical thinking and professional discretion.
- Accurately document patient conditions, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records.
- Participate in patient and family education to support recovery and promote ongoing health.
Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted RN license.
- Previous experience in a telemetry nursing setting is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in cardiac monitoring and interpretation.
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to supervise, mentor, and direct staff at various levels.
