Deliver specialized nursing care in a dynamic telemetry unit, focusing on cardiac patients requiring skilled monitoring and intervention. Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive telemetry nursing care for cardiac patients, including monitoring vital signs and cardiac rhythms
  • Manage cardiac drip medications such as Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, and Cardizem
  • Assist in the initiation of Tikosyn and Sotalol therapies under established protocols
  • Float among all acute care units as needed, demonstrating flexibility and expertise
  • Participate in orientation and training, including EPIC EMR systems and specialized cardiac care procedures
  • Work night shifts, maintaining high standards of patient care through every shift

Qualifications / Desired Experience

  • Current KS RN license
  • Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry experience, with preference for 2-5 years
  • Proficient in TR Band procedures and cardiac drip management
  • Completion of BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Experience with Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation is highly valued
  • Comfortable with night shifts and weekend rotations

Work Schedule

  • 36 hours per week
  • Night shift: 7 PM to 7:30 AM
  • 3 x 12-hour shifts
  • Every other weekend rotation
  • Holiday work required on holidays such as Christmas Eve/Day or New Years Eve/Day

This role includes a thorough orientation process, ensuring you are fully prepared to deliver expert patient care. The facility uses the EPIC electronic medical record system and supports a nicotine-free environment.
