Job Description

Deliver exceptional, patient-centered care in a role dedicated to supporting individuals and families on a Telemetry nursing unit. You will oversee both clinical decisions and the flow of education for patients and staff, ensuring high-quality outcomes within a collaborative environment.   • Contract-based assignment (duration discussed during the hiring process)

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • Proven experience in a Telemetry or cardiac stepdown unit
  • Strong patient assessment, prioritization, and care planning skills
  • Ability to perform and document thorough assessments and promptly respond to changes in patient condition
  • Excellent communication and teaching abilities with patients and their families
  • Team leadership, mentorship, and precepting experience with both licensed and unlicensed staff
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practice and commitment to continuous professional development
  • Comfortable participating in quality and safety improvement initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient assessments and reassessments in accordance with policies and evolving patient needs
  • Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team and patient families
  • Monitor and document patient responses to interventions, adjusting care as necessary
  • Educate patients and families about care processes, treatments, and plans for discharge
  • Delegate appropriate tasks while ensuring accountability and fostering a supportive team culture
  • Take part in process improvements, ensuring compliance with current quality and regulatory standards
  • Mentor, precept, and support the ongoing development of team members
