Qualifications and Experience:
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Recent experience working in a telemetry or progressive care unit
- Proficiency with cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and telemetry equipment
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients with cardiac conditions, recognizing arrhythmias and responding appropriately
- Administer prescribed medications and therapies in accordance with established protocols
- Document patient status, interventions, and progress in the medical record
- Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and adjust care plans
- Provide education and reassurance to patients and their families regarding treatment and cardiac monitoring
- Respond effectively to emergencies, implementing rapid interventions as necessary
