A full-time nursing opportunity is available at a healthcare facility located on Holloman Air Force Base, NM. This contract position offers the chance to provide specialized care in medical, surgical, and respiratory patient units during day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver nursing care following the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administer medications and treatments per established protocols; monitor patient responses and document appropriately. Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding care and resources. Make clinical assignments and delegate to support staff as needed. Comply with organizational competencies and nursing standards.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Minimum of one year nursing experience in a related specialty preferred. Current Registered Nurse license in New Mexico or compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (AHA only). Successfully complete organizational and MedSurg-specific competency validations. New nurses may participate in residency and orientation programs.
Work Schedule: Days: 7 AM to 7 PM Weekend requirement: 6 shifts every 6 weeks. Call requirement: 2 call shifts every 6 weeks. Float requirements may include Medical/Surgical, Behavioral Health, Joint, or Emergency Department assignments.
