A registered nurse with experience in telemetry is needed for a 13-week night shift assignment based in Hilo, HI. This contract role offers a rewarding opportunity to apply your clinical skills within a dynamic medical unit while supporting patient care in a beautiful island setting.

Location:

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care on a 77-bed Medical Unit focusing on telemetry patients.
• Utilize Meditech EMR system and clinical equipment such as Pyxis, wound vac devices, and chest tube management.
• Monitor patient condition, administer treatments, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective care plans.
• May float to other units such as Laulima or Cardiovascular Units based on staffing needs.
• Maintain professional nursing attire and adhere to dress code standards.
• Participate in orientation and department-specific training to ensure competence with facility protocols.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current registered nurse (RN) with 2-10 years of nursing experience.
• Active Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment; travelers without a current Hawaii license must apply immediately upon offer acceptance.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Flexibility in working various night shift lengths and days; scheduled for approximately 36 hours weekly following orientation.
• Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption is mandatory before contract start.

Additional Details:

• Must arrive the Thursday before assignment start for employee health clearance appointment on Friday.
• Flexible scheduling with no guaranteed hours or shift preference.
• Night shift schedule; floating between units as needed.
