Job Description

Looking for an impactful and rewarding opportunity in a fast-paced clinical environment? A dynamic telemetry unit is seeking an experienced RN with a strong background in telemetry nursing to support a contract assignment on our night shift. This unit features 37 beds and is supported by a highly engaged team focused on delivering compassionate, evidence-based care and fostering a collaborative atmosphere.

Schedule:

  • 7:00 PM 7:00 AM; night shift

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active RN license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Previous experience in a Telemetry/Stepdown setting strongly preferred
  • Experience managing central lines and medication drips is a plus
  • Proficiency with PCA pumps, IV pumps, chest tubes, and use of Meditech EMR
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently
  • Positive, engaged attitude with a commitment to teamwork

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and respond to cardiac rhythms and patient conditions within a 37-bed telemetry unit
  • Care for a diverse patient population with ratios around 1:6, or 1:4 for post-Heart Cath recovery
  • Administer and monitor medication drips, manage central lines, and contribute to heart catheterization recovery and bubble studies procedures
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including other RNs, patient care techs, and unit clerks
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation using Meditech EMR
  • Deliver patient-centered care while upholding the highest professional standards
